Our Story
KOKORO means "heart" in Japanese.
But this word also represents the mind, the spirit, and intention.
That's exactly what I wanted to put into every Kokoro skateboard deck.
Initially, there was a simple idea: to create boards that tell a story. Boards like canvases. Objects that carry something more than just wood and wheels.
Every line, every curve, and every design is conceived as a form of artistic expression.
KOKORO was born from this vision: to create an independent skateboard brand, where skateboarding, art, and nature meet.
Skateboarding as a form of expression
For me, skateboarding isn't just a sport. It's a culture, a way of seeing the world.
A way to turn the street into a playground and to express yourself freely. Each trick tells a story of progression. Every fall is part of the journey.
Kokoro boards are designed to accompany this story.
Skateboards designed to ride, but also to inspire.
A more responsible approach
Being a skater means being connected to your environment:
the streets, cities, and landscapes you pass through. This is why KOKORO is committed to a more responsible approach, by prioritizing:
- sustainable materials
- thoughtful production
- a respectful vision of nature
Because riding also means respecting the ground under our wheels.
A brand driven by the community
KOKORO exists thanks to one simple thing:
the enthusiasts who support the project.
Every person who rides a Kokoro board helps bring this vision to life:
- a free community
- a creative community
- a sincere community
united by skateboarding and expression.
And this is just the beginning of the story.
KOKORO, made by an enthusiast for enthusiasts
ABOUT THE CREATOR
Who am I?
My name is Lino.
I am a bit of everything, and never entirely from one place.
A dreamer who spends his time figuring out how to transform what he feels into something real.
Art, poetry, music, skateboarding, nature... everything mixes in my head. And every day, I try to create something true from it.
I’m not trying to run faster than others.
I’m simply trying to move at my own pace, to find a balance between what I'm passionate about and what sustains me.
My world is made of contrasts:
the silence of forests and the noise of concrete, the words I write at night and the lines I draw on a board.
It is from this fragile balance that KOKORO was born.
What am I doing?
For me, creating is a necessity.
It's my way of breathing.
I spend a lot of time observing, listening, learning... then I let my inspirations take shape. Little by little, they become ideas, lines, objects.
Skateboarding holds an essential place in my life.
Not just as a sport, but as a form of expression. A way to trace your own path, to fall, to get back up, and to start over again.
I also have this deep need to share: ideas, emotions, visions.
To build bridges between disciplines, collaborate with other artists, tell stories with multiple voices.
KOKORO was born from this desire.
The desire to create, of course...
but especially to create together.
I am someone who doubts a lot, but who deeply believes in the beauty of simple things .
Every step I take, every project I launch, is a fragment of myself that I leave in the world. Maybe it touches, maybe it inspires, maybe it just passes by… but it exists, and that's enough for me.
I don't claim to have all the answers. I move forward, I learn, I fall, I start again. What matters to me are the encounters, the ideas we create together, and those suspended moments when everything seems to make sense .
Dare to create, dare to live, dare to be yourself.
